Great Lakes Window® Introduces Dedicated Lines for Distributors

New GrandView™ Series Features Three Distinct Lines

TOLEDO, OH, 2005 – To better serve the wide range of remodelers and window replacement specialists, Great Lakes Window has introduced the GrandView 3000, 4000 and 5000 Series of windows. The lines will be marketed exclusively through distribution channels ranging from small, independent distributors to large building products wholesalers.

“With the introduction of the GrandView Series, we now offer dedicated lines of windows to our distribution customers that allow them to capitalize on Great Lakes Window’s reputation for excellence and innovation,” says Great Lakes Window Product Manager John Walsh. “We’ve designed the GrandView line to include many of the industry’s best performance features for energy efficiency and durability, plus offer a wide range of custom decorative options.”

The pinnacle of the new lines is the GrandView 5000 Series featuring a windload rating of DP50 (equivalent to withstanding 140 mph winds). The series offers performance-enhancing Low-E glass options including the HP2 Max, triple glazed, twin chamber insulating glass system which is six times more energy efficient than single glass. The 5000 Series is available in four different colors, a choice of three woodgrains and multiple decorative options, providing homeowners with the versatility to ideally complement their décor. The series is also backed by a strong, Lifetime Limited Transferable Warranty.

“With three distinct GrandView lines, wholesalers can offer the features and options their customers desire at a very competitive price,” says Walsh. The GrandView 4000 Series features many of the performance and aesthetic features of the 5000 Series with a windload rating of DP35. Though the 3000 Series is the GrandView base model, they’re made with the same Great Lakes Window dedication to quality including solid uiPVC vinyl construction, Warm-edge Intercept® glass and ENERGY STAR® performance.

“Replacement windows are a highly competitive market,” says Terry Donovan of Kan Am Products in Wichita, Kansas. “We’re excited to now be able to offer top quality product lines that our customers won’t see from anybody else. Plus they come with the support of a leading window manufacturer. It’s a win for our customers and a win for our business.”
